Woah! This reminds me of Cannon Spike on the Dreamcast! Looking at your works, I see you have schmups, a panzer dragoon-ish game, and isometric shooter/brawlers. I love it! Amazing work dude!
Great little game, gets super fun when you get full sword and heat upgrades and just go crazy all over the arena, not even touching the movement keys. It would be awesome if the game continued to ramp up once you get those upgrades, and also if it was rebalanced a little. The sword is useless before getting upgraded as enemies do not stop shooting/attacking when you hit them and the shooting ones make no visual indication of when they'll fire at you. Also, the gun stops being useful after the sword is upgraded because the upgraded gun still takes 2-4 shots to kill whereas the upgraded sword only takes one hit to kill.
Anyway, had a ton of fun with it and I hope you'll continue with this in the future.

I really feel like I should be able to move while shooting. The gun feels cumbersome and restrictive as it stands. It seems like you could allow movement, and then compensate by increasing the enemy fire rate or speed or something. The whole thing might feel a lot more fluid and intense as you weave around enemy bullets while managing your heat level.
Apart from this it was really fun! Great work! :) It's awesome to see how low-fi you can get Unity games to look.

This has a lot of potential. Feels like a Devil Daggers with a mecha aesthetic in some ways. I hope you flesh this one out into a full game.
